Leaf Man

Leaf Man (Ala Notable Children's Books. Younger Readers (Awards))
Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert is definitely a fall classic.  All the illustrations are made with leaves and it has a wonderful rhythm to it.  After reading it a few times, Eva asked if she could make a leaf man.  We had collected a few leaves on our walk home from the library so we were ready to go.  We used a glue stick to adhere the leaves to the paper and then set a heavy book on him while the glue set.  Here is our very own leaf man:

  1. That is one cute leaf man! We're doing the Fall crafts right now too. We made leaf prints and thumbprint fall trees last weekend. The kids loved it. Can't wait to see all your Fall crafts.

  2. I like that! I need to make a list of all of these leaf books for when our leaves actually start changing.

  3. Thanks for joining WMCIR! Leaf Man is one of my own personal, and I already took it from the library to read with daughter next week. You have a very cute art for the book too!
